Making Movies in St. Petersburg for Kids

This is an experience of working in a large team with professionals. We develop project-based thinking — abandoned and unfinished tasks will become fewer, while completed projects will increase.

During the 5-day film camp, children will:

• Learn everything about the profession of a documentary filmmaker and “taste” it firsthand.

• Shoot their own film — from developing the idea to editing and release.

• Feel like actors and star in a professional film.

• Improve their English — effortlessly, thanks to Lingva teachers’ methods and the educational programme.

Everything happens just like in a movie: one frame replaces another, with emotions, excitement, and adventures waiting at every step. Our programme’s heroes find themselves in unusual, incredibly beautiful places, reflect on the present, and step into a future where their dreams come true. Happy ending, credits, applause!

What Happens Behind the Scenes?

They discuss professions in English, immerse themselves in the atmosphere of culture, history, and art. They get acquainted with film production and the basics of acting, screenwriting, and cinematography at the Lenfilm (Lendok) Studio. They participate in the “Our Future” film quest and shoot a video about their dream profession, which they then see on the big screen in the historic “Director’s Hall” of the Lendok Studio.

• Sightseeing bus tour of St. Petersburg — “He Was Born to Be an Imperial Capital…” Nevsky Prospekt, Arts Square, Alexander Garden, St. Isaac’s Square with the Cathedral, Palace Square, Sphinxes, University, Kunstkamera, Strelka of Vasilyevsky Island, Rostral Columns, Winter Palace, Mars Field, and more.

• Dinner at the hotel café.

Day 2 — March 26

• Breakfast at the hotel restaurant (buffet).

• Educational sessions at Lendok Studio. Lunch at a café.

• Excursion to the State Hermitage Museum.

• Suburban bus excursion to Tsarskoye Selo (Pushkin Town). Visit to Catherine Palace and the Amber Room, walk through the park. Excursion to Tsarskoye Selo Lyceum.

• Transfer to Lendok Studio. Educational sessions.

• Dinner at the hotel café. Educational sessions.

Day 4 — March 28

• Breakfast at the hotel restaurant (buffet).

• Bus transfer to Strelka of Vasilyevsky Island. Excursion to the Zoological Museum.

• Lunch at a café.

• Transfer to Lendok Studio. Educational sessions.

Day 5 — March 29

• Check-out. Departure from the hotel with luggage.

• Sightseeing bus tour — “Goodbye, Petersburg!…” with a visit to Peter and Paul Fortress.

• Transfer to Lendok Studio. Educational sessions.

• Transfer to Gallery Shopping Centre. Shopping time.
