About the University
The International Language & Culture Institute at Sookmyung Women’s University was founded in 1906 by the imperial family of the Korean Dynasty.
The university hosts many Korean and international students — both male and female — across a wide range of academic programmes, from degree courses to language camps, business internships, and K-POP cultural projects.

Academic Excellence
Sookmyung Women’s University is one of South Korea’s leading universities. It holds the IEQAS (International Education Quality Assurance System) certification and has received numerous awards and recognition from the Korean Ministry of Education for academic excellence (Premium Class). The university was awarded a grant of 45 billion KRW (approx. 38 million USD) for 2016–2018.
